These Terms & Conditions govern access to and use of The Highland Woman website, private member platform, membership community, events, experiences, programs and related services. By accessing this website, applying for membership or participating in any offering associated with The Highland Woman, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

ABOUT THE HIGHLAND WOMAN

The Highland Woman is a private membership community created to connect, support and elevate women through meaningful connection, networking, wellbeing, leadership, business, education, personal growth and curated experiences.

Our mission is to cultivate a respectful, inspiring and values-aligned environment that protects the integrity, privacy and experience of the community and its members.

The Highland Woman operates as a privately managed membership organisation and reserves the right to manage participation, membership and access to its community spaces, events, digital platforms and services in accordance with its purpose, values and community standards.

MEMBERSHIP APPLICATIONS & APPROVAL

Membership with The Highland Woman is by application and approval only.

Submission of an application, payment or expression of interest does not guarantee acceptance into the community.

Applications may be reviewed based on factors including:

  • alignment with the values, culture and vision of The Highland Woman;
  • contribution to the community environment and member experience;
  • maintaining the integrity and intended atmosphere of the organisation;
  • referrals, endorsements or recommendations from existing members where applicable.

The Highland Woman reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to:

  • approve or decline membership applications;
  • request additional information during the application process;
  • suspend, revoke or refuse renewal of memberships;
  • remove access to events, services or private member areas;
  • decline participation in community spaces or activities.

Membership decisions are final and The Highland Woman is not required to provide reasons for membership decisions.

PRIVATE MEMBER PLATFORM & COMMUNITY SPACES

The Highland Woman may provide members with access to private digital community spaces, discussion groups, member directories, messaging features, educational resources, networking areas and other member-only experiences.

Access to these spaces is a privilege of membership and may be modified, restricted or removed at any time.

Members agree to:

  • engage respectfully and professionally within all community spaces;
  • maintain discretion and confidentiality regarding private discussions and member information;
  • refrain from harassment, intimidation, bullying, abusive behaviour or inflammatory conduct;
  • avoid posting unlawful, defamatory, offensive, misleading or harmful content;
  • refrain from spam, excessive self-promotion or unsolicited sales activity;
  • respect the privacy, boundaries and safety of fellow members.

The Highland Woman reserves the right to moderate, review, restrict or remove content, posts, comments, discussions, messages or member access where it considers such action necessary to preserve the integrity, safety, privacy or intended experience of the community.

Members acknowledge that opinions shared within the community are those of individual members and do not necessarily reflect the views of The Highland Woman.

MEMBER CONDUCT & COMMUNITY STANDARDS

Members and guests are expected to contribute positively to the culture, integrity and wellbeing of the community.

By participating in The Highland Woman community, members agree to:

  • communicate respectfully with fellow members, guests and team members;
  • contribute to a safe, supportive and inclusive environment;
  • act professionally and with integrity;
  • avoid conduct that may damage the reputation, safety or experience of the organisation or its members.

The Highland Woman reserves the right to suspend, restrict or terminate memberships or participation where behaviour is considered inconsistent with the values or standards of the community.

EVENTS, EXPERIENCES & RETREATS

The Highland Woman hosts private member events, networking experiences, workshops, retreats, gatherings and social activities.

Participation in events may be subject to:

  • invitation or approval requirements;
  • venue capacity limitations;
  • behavioural expectations;
  • separate booking or cancellation policies.

The Highland Woman reserves the right to refuse attendance or remove participants from events where necessary to protect the safety, privacy, comfort or integrity of the member experience.

Participation in events and activities is undertaken at the individual’s own discretion and risk.

MEMBERSHIP FEES, PAYMENTS & RENEWALS

Membership fees, event pricing and related costs are displayed in Australian Dollars (AUD) unless otherwise stated.

Memberships may operate on annual, monthly or alternative payment structures as determined by The Highland Woman.

By purchasing a membership, members authorise recurring payments where applicable.

Members are responsible for ensuring payment details remain current.

Where payments fail or memberships lapse, access to member areas, events or community features may be suspended or removed.

Membership fees and event payments are generally non-refundable except where required under Australian Consumer Law.

The Highland Woman reserves the right to amend pricing, membership structures, inclusions, offerings or payment arrangements at any time.

BUSINESS NETWORKING, BRAND PARTNERSHIPS & COLLABORATIONS

The Highland Woman may collaborate with selected businesses, sponsors, speakers, venues, affiliates, contributors and brand partners aligned with the values and interests of the community.

References, introductions, recommendations, collaborations or promotional opportunities shared within The Highland Woman community do not constitute guarantees, endorsements or professional advice unless expressly stated.

Members are responsible for conducting their own independent enquiries before engaging with third-party businesses, products or services introduced through the community.

The Highland Woman is not responsible for disputes, transactions, losses or outcomes arising from member-to-member business dealings, referrals, partnerships or third-party engagements.

MEMBER PROMOTION & COMMERCIAL ACTIVITY

The Highland Woman encourages authentic connection, collaboration and support amongst members.

However, excessive self-promotion, aggressive sales activity, spam, solicitation or misuse of member relationships for commercial purposes is not permitted.

Members may only promote businesses, services, events or offers within approved areas or with prior approval where required.

The Highland Woman reserves the right to remove promotional content or restrict member activity where it considers such activity inconsistent with the culture or intended experience of the community.

PHOTOGRAPHY, VIDEO & MEDIA RELEASE

Photography, video or media content may be captured during events, gatherings or community experiences for promotional, editorial, website, social media or marketing purposes.

By attending events or participating in community activities, members and guests consent to the use of their image or likeness unless they notify The Highland Woman in writing prior to the event.

CONFIDENTIALITY & PRIVACY

The Highland Woman values privacy, trust and discretion within the community.

Members agree not to disclose confidential discussions, private member information or community content without consent.

Personal information collected through the website, membership applications or event participation will be managed in accordance with applicable Australian privacy laws and The Highland Woman Privacy Policy.

MEMBER DIRECTORY & CONTACT INFORMATION

Where member directories, profiles or networking features are provided, members agree to use such information respectfully and solely for genuine relationship-building and community engagement purposes.

Member information must not be copied, harvested, distributed or used for unauthorised marketing, solicitation or commercial activity.

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

All branding, graphics, written content, event concepts, materials, media and intellectual property associated with The Highland Woman remain the property of The Highland Woman unless otherwise stated.

Content may not be copied, reproduced, distributed or used commercially without prior written permission.

WEBSITE USE

Users agree not to:

  • misuse or interfere with the website or member platform;
  • attempt unauthorised access to systems or member areas;
  • upload malicious software or harmful material;
  • engage in unlawful, abusive or disruptive conduct.

The Highland Woman reserves the right to restrict or terminate website access where necessary.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the maximum extent permitted by law, The Highland Woman is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from participation in the community, attendance at events or use of the website, private member platform and related services.

Nothing within these Terms excludes rights that cannot legally be excluded under Australian Consumer Law.

CHANGES TO THESE TERMS

The Highland Woman may amend or update these Terms & Conditions from time to time.

Continued use of the website, participation in events or maintenance of membership constitutes acceptance of any updated Terms.
